2012 Pearl Vodka Darts - Tournament of Champions

Provided by progressive dart league and amusement machine operating companies nationwide!

When, where and how:

When: October 19 – 23, 2012.

Where: Kansas City Missouri @ The KCI Exposition Center. This venue is nearby the KC International Airport to evenly share travel time and costs for all who attend from across America.

How: Five days in all starting on Friday with four days of “singles” qualifier tournaments - all triple elimination 100% payback plus $72,000 added to all qualifiers. Then, on the fifth day (Tuesday), the $200,000 TOC Finales, a “doubles” blind-draw of all who advanced from the previous four days of qualifiers partnered with players who earned Level A vouchers.

Tuesday October 23, 2012. One day, two Finales (1 for men and 1 for women) with each Finale paying out $100,000. Each Finale will pay $10,000 to the winning team and $1,000 to all of the bottom 32 teams. Every team including the last place team for both men and women will win $1,000.

64 dartboards.

The voucher system: Each sponsor (operating company) is entitled to award up to three types of non-transferrable vouchers for both men and women in their area. There is a total of 896 vouchers (448 for each gender) available as follows:

        • Level C @ 256 men & 256 women = 512,

        • Level B @ 128 men & 128 women = 256 and

        • Level A @ 64 men & 64 women = 128.

Each level of voucher allows more benefits for the player who receives the voucher.

Some of these 896 Vouchers are issued to players in states all across America (contingent upon meeting player qualifications). See the operator list to find the nearest participating dart league operator.

Voucher allotments: All vouchers are issued proportionate to the amount of sponsorship provided by your local league operator.

www.dartstoc.com: To facilitate the voucher system and tournament registration; a secure website is used to provide each league operator a method to electronically issue vouchers for their players at each voucher level. Once a player voucher is electronically issued, the player’s name will then appear on a corresponding eligible player list for registering to compete at the TOC in each type of corresponding qualifier. Players will then electronically register themselves and remit their entry fees for the various qualifiers depending upon the voucher level they have earned and been issued.

Issuing vouchers to players: All league oprators will issue their vouchers electronically during August of 2012. Starting at 8 am central time on August 1 through 4 pm central time on August 31, 2012.

Player Registration: All player entries must be pre-registered through the website with $100 entry fee required pre-paid through the website using PayPal services. Regular player registration begins at 8 am central time on September 1, 2012 and continues through 4 pm central time on September 15, 2012. Player registration for each type of qualifier will be on a first come first served basis.

Bonus Player Registration: A 20-day OPEN registration period allowing players to register for any remaining unfilled positions in any available equal or lower level qualifier.

Bonus Player Registration begins at 4:01 pm central time on September 15, 2012 and last through 4 pm central time on October 5, 2012.

Earn more than one Finale entry to win more Finale money and create byes in the Finale bracket: Players are allowed to compete to earn multiple Finale entries through participating in multiple qualifiers. As shown in the Finale payouts below, every position pays at least $1,000 to the team including last place. Any player who earns a second [or more] entries to the Sunday Finale will become the owner of a share of all byes created and as such will share a portion of the payout for all byes created in this manner. For example: A player who earned a Finale entry in any manner, such as a level A voucher or from advancing from level B may (during the bonus registration period) choose to register to compete in three other level B qualifiers (if vouchers are left unused by other players in those qualifiers). If that player then finishes in the top 16 of all three of those other qualifiers, contributing to the creation one and a half byes and presuming there is at least one other multi-entry to make an even two byes, then, the player will earn an additional $1,500 in Finale prize money in addition to any and all other money the player wins in the qualifiers and in the Finale. Note: in the event there is an odd number of multi-entry winners, we will require an even number for byes to ensure no single player with a valid Finale entry is turned away. In this case, we will divide all bye money between the multi-entry players proportionate to their number of entries.

Level C vouchers (Friday and Saturday) @ 256 for both male and female players = 512 total level C vouchers to issue: Level C vouchers are the easiest voucher to achieve. Level C vouchers entitle players to register to compete in one of four Friday and Saturday qualifier tournaments (64 person triple-elimination singles contests). Each Level C qualifier contest is 100% payback and has $2,000 added.

The top 32 from each Level C qualifier will advance to a Sunday or Monday Level B qualifier. The top 16 from each Level B qualifier will then advance directly to the Tuesday $200,000 TOC Finale and the 17th place from one level B qualifier is selected at random as a wildcard entry for Tuesday to replace anyone who does not show.

Advancing from level C to Level B:

• The top 32 from Friday’s level C qualifiers advance for free to compete in Sunday’s level B qualifiers.

• The top 32 from Saturday’s level C qualifiers advance for free to compete in Monday’s level B qualifiers.

To avoid double entry conflicts with the warm-up events for players who advance from level C to Level B, players registered for Friday level C qualifiers are blocked from pre-registering for Sunday’s warm-up contests and Saturday’s qualifier entrants are blocked from pre-registering for Monday’s warm-up contests. Note: All warm-up event teams are allowed to use on-site subs if needed.

To randomize the players who advance to level B, the 32 level C players advancing to level B randomly draw their Level B roster position with half from each of Friday’s qualifiers receiving a free entry into Sunday’s 9 am Level B qualifier and half receiving a free entry into Sunday’s 4 pm Level B qualifier. The same procedure applies to both of Saturday’s C qualifiers who advance to Monday’s Level B Qualifiers.

Reminder: During the last twenty days of bonus player registration, a Level C player may register for any open position in as many level C qualifiers as he/she chooses during both qualifying days - on a first come first served basis.

Level C vouchers can be issued to any player a participating league operator certifies competed in dart league on dartboards owned by the league operator with minimum standards as follows:

Or higher standards as may be established by the league operator.

Level C voucher player requirement Option 2: The league operator certifies the player has participated in a minimum of 200 games in any combination of cricket and 01 during league play where the league operator has retained statistics that can be shared with TOC officials upon audit request, which statistics demonstrate the player has achieved a minimum average Mark Per Round (MPR) or Point Per Dart (PPD) of:
