Partners Promoting Darts (PPD) sanctioning body.
The PPD hosts an annual tournament named the Tournament of
Champions (TOC) in Kansas City each October.
A TOC statistical league-year is July 15th-
July 14th year-to-year.
Points-per-dart (PPD) is an average from X01
Marks-per-round (MPR) is an average from
"Player Rating" (PR) is determined by:
Multiplying a player's MPR by 10 and adding
their PPD. [(MPR x 10) + PPD]
Additionally, a comparison of PPD and MPR are
done to ensure both numbers are within a normally expected percentile of each
other. If PPD and MPR are not within 13%, that players lower # is raised to be
within 13% of the higher number. A new calculation for PR is done with the
adjustment. This new PR becomes the players best known stat to use.
– (MPR * .13 ) * 10 = New PPD
New PPD + (MPR * 10) = New PR
A team of multiple PRs added together form a "combined
player rating" (CPR).
A player's PPD or MPR can come from league,
tournament or DRT competition:
1) LEAGUE: To establish a league PPD or MPR a
player must compete in at least 24 games of X01 (with full bull) and/or 24 games
of cricket in a league. Then, the player must compete in at least six (6)
matches of that league for the league to remain an "eligible league" for
statistical retention for that player beyond the league's ending date.
Additionally, a player's PPD and MPR is determined by the highest PPD or MPR
derived from all eligible leagues participated in during the most recent TOC
league-year in which the player participated in at least one eligible league.
2) TOURNAMENT: A tournament PPD or MPR average
is established when a player has thrown a minimum of 120 darts of 1 game type,
then up to their last 500 darts in X01 and cricket during any PPD major
tournament competition. Tournament statistics for each player are up to the last
500 darts thrown for each game type with the older darts thrown purged from
3) DRT: A DRT PPD or MPR average is established
when a player has thrown a minimum of 120 darts of 1 game type, then up to their
last 500 darts in X01 and cricket during any PPD Daily Remote Tournament
competition. Tournament statistics for each player are up to the last 500 darts
thrown for each game type with the older darts thrown purged from their
Player Ratings are retained for as much as three (3) years
from any date and based upon best known stats of a player during all that time.
The PPDs annual statistical year (aka TOC-league-data-year) runs July 15 to July
14 year-to-year. An Annual PR Reset is done each year on, or about, November 1,
following the annual TOC. This
Annual PR Reset is done to purge data from players whose activities and data
ended more than three years prior to the current statistical year, which began
on the previous July 15th. Additionally, data is purged for any player who did
not participate in at least 6 matches in any of the leagues that ended during
the interim of the July 15 start of the current statistical year and the Annual
PR Reset date. However, data is retained for players involved in leagues that
started, but did not end during this interim, who may not yet have participated
in six matches as of the Annual PR Rest date. PR for players not currently
participating in league during any TOC league-year is retained from the last TOC
league-year the player participated in.
This list includes all currently sanctioned league players in the PPD system. |
A "Current League Player" is any player who has completed 24 games of 01 or Cricket
in a league and has participated in league during the preceding 6 weeks prior to the
date this list was last updated. This list was last updated on
Players on this list are not necessarily eligible to compete at the
Tournament of Champions. TOC eligibility depends upon total annual league games
played and statistical ability for TOC qualifiers and finale. See TOC Standings for
specific PVD TOC eligibility information. Please also check with your local PPD
League Coordinator to ensure you qualify to attend the TOC because each PPD
League Operator determines local standards for TOC qualification in their area.
If your name is not on this list, please contact your League Coordinator to ensure
they have your correct contact information on file. Complete contact information is
required when registering for any TOC events.
PPD calculations use only 50 point bull open in/open out games.
