Privacy Policy

Partners Promoting Darts ("PPD," "we," "our," or "us") operates dartstoc.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Site and related services.

By using our Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1) Information We Collect

a. Account Information

We collect information you provide when creating and maintaining an account, as well as additional information provided over time in connection with your participation in our platform. This may include contact information, identifying details, account credentials, and other information reasonably necessary to operate our services.

b. League, Event, and Participation Information

When you participate in leagues, tournaments, or events, we collect and maintain information related to your participation, including registration details, team information, standings, rankings, statistics, historical results, earnings, and related records.

c. Technical and Usage Information

We may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including browser and device information, pages visited, interaction data, and similar usage details.

Our servers and related systems may also record technical log information, including IP addresses, for security, system administration, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and related operational needs.

2) Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, site functionality, preferences, analytics, and related operational purposes.

We currently use Google Analytics (GA4) to better understand how the Site is used. We may associate usage activity with an internal user identifier to better understand authenticated usage patterns. This identifier is used internally and is not intended to directly identify you by name, email address, or similar public-facing personal information.

You can manage certain cookie behavior through your browser settings, although doing so may affect Site functionality.

3) How We Use Information

We may use information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and related services
  • Manage accounts, authentication, and access control
  • Process participation in leagues, tournaments, and events
  • Maintain rankings, statistics, history, and related records
  • Communicate with participants, partners, and account holders
  • Support security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting
  • Comply with contractual, legal, regulatory, tax, and recordkeeping obligations

4) Communications

a. Service and Transactional Communications

We send communications necessary to operate the platform, including account notices, password resets, registration confirmations, transaction-related communications, operational updates, and similar service messages.

b. Participant Communications

When you register for a league, tournament, or event, the contact information you provide or confirm during registration may be shared with relevant team captains, league participants, and PPD Partners for scheduling, coordination, and league or event administration.

In some cases, these communications may include group emails or similar communications where recipients can reply to one another. For larger events, we may use more limited communication methods, including blind copy distribution or other tools, where appropriate.

c. Promotional and Announcement Communications

We may send occasional announcements, surveys, sponsor-related communications, or other promotional messages. You may opt out of promotional communications through the unsubscribe method we provide or through account management where available. Opting out does not affect service-related communications necessary for account use, participation, transactions, or legal compliance.

d. SMS Communications

If you provide a phone number, we may send text messages related to your account, participation, or related operations. You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP where supported.

5) Information Sharing

a. PPD Partners

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, a "PPD Partner" means any vendor who holds any amount of ownership in a business that owns dart machines connected to the PPD system to make PPD products, services, and activities available to patrons.

When you participate in leagues or events, information may be shared with the PPD Partner managing that activity. Such access is intended to be limited to information reasonably needed to administer active leagues, teams, locations, events, registrations, and related operations.

We do not provide advertisers with participant contact lists, and we do not provide partners unrestricted bulk access to participant contact information unrelated to active registrations or operational needs.

b. Affiliates and Related Entities

We may share information with affiliated, related, or commonly owned businesses that help support our operations, staffing, administration, events, communications, accounting, or other legitimate business functions. Those entities are expected to handle information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

c. Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers to support our operations, including providers for email delivery, messaging, analytics, payment processing, tax documentation, electronic signature and document collection, hosting, security, and related business functions.

These providers may have access to information only as reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf or to support our legitimate business operations.

d. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share personal information with advertisers for targeted advertising purposes.

e. Aggregated and De-Identified Information

We may use aggregated, statistical, or de-identified information for reporting, business analysis, sponsor discussions, participant interest research, product planning, and similar purposes, provided such information does not identify an individual participant.

6) Payments

Certain payments, such as tournament registration payments, may be processed through third-party payment providers such as PayPal. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

7) Legal and Tax Compliance

Because participants may earn money through leagues, tournaments, or related activities, we may collect, process, and retain information necessary for legal, accounting, and tax compliance. This may include earnings records, tax documentation, and IRS forms such as Form W-9, whether collected directly or through service providers we use for document collection and signature workflows.

We may use this information to track earnings, issue required tax forms such as Form 1099, meet reporting obligations, respond to lawful requests, and satisfy other legal or regulatory obligations.

8) Data Retention

We may retain account, participation, ranking, statistical, transactional, tax, and related historical data for as long as reasonably needed to operate the platform, preserve historical records, support integrity of rankings and results, enforce agreements, and comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

9) Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, including account controls, system monitoring, security logging, review of suspicious activity, and technical protections such as firewall and related security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10) Children's Privacy

Our Site is not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization where required.

11) Your Choices

You may be able to:

  • Update certain account information
  • Opt out of promotional email communications
  • Opt out of supported SMS communications by replying STOP
